ConfirmDOPE Terms of Service

1. Agreement

confirmdope.com ("the Site") is operated by ConfirmDOPE LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company, doing business as ConfirmDOPE ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Site. We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means acceptance. We'll note the last-updated date above and announce material changes on the Site.

2. Who may use the Site

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) to create an account. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Accounts

  • You are responsible for your account and everything done with it. Keep your password secure.
  • Usernames are permanent and may not be changed. One account per person.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion, with or without notice.
  • Badges (Dealer, Military, Law Enforcement, Veteran, verified-signup, and similar) are identity or status verifications only. They are granted and revoked at our discretion, confer no ownership, entitlement, or paid benefit, and may be removed if the underlying verification no longer holds.

4. Your content

  • User content includes forum threads and posts, comments on builds and Intel articles, published and private Armory builds (including photos, parts lists, and descriptions), Armory Log entries, deal submissions, and profile content.
  • You retain ownership of content you post. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content for operating and promoting the Site.
  • For content you publish publicly (published builds, including cover photos and parts lists; forum posts; comments), this license also covers rendering it in Site-generated formats: share cards and social-preview images that carry Site branding, and embeddable cards or previews displayed on third-party sites, with attribution to your username (or to "Anonymous" where you chose anonymous publishing).
  • Anonymous publishing hides your username from public view on that content; your account remains fully responsible for it, and moderators can still see who posted it.
  • Private content (private builds, Armory Log data, and other unpublished material) is licensed to us only as needed to store, back up, and operate the feature for you. We do not display it publicly. One exception you control: a per-gun setting can display that gun's lifetime round count publicly, and only while you keep it enabled.
  • You're responsible for what you post. Don't post content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, threatening, or that you lack rights to.
  • We may remove any content and are not obligated to host anything. Human moderators review reports; decisions are at our discretion.
  • Deal submissions and dealer posts must be accurate to your knowledge. Deliberately false pricing or bait posts are grounds for removal and account action.

5. Private messages

Direct messages are private between participants and are not routinely read by anyone. However: messages are stored on our servers, and when a conversation is reported by a participant, it becomes visible to moderators for review. Do not use messages for unlawful activity.

6. Prohibited conduct

No: breaking the law; buying, selling, or trading goods anywhere on the Site; harassment or threats; spam or unauthorized advertising; scraping or automated bulk access; attempting to bypass access controls or moderation; impersonation; posting others' personal information; malware; interfering with Site operation; circumventing bans; instructions for making weapons or converting firearms in violation of law; content sexualizing minors (zero tolerance, reported to authorities).

7. Deals, prices, and product information

Deal posts, prices, specs, and product data on the Site are user-submitted or automatically collected and are informational only, provided as-is. Prices and availability change; we don't guarantee accuracy. Verify everything with the retailer or manufacturer before purchase. Some outbound retailer links may be affiliate links, as disclosed on the Deals page; qualifying purchases may earn the Site a commission at no cost to you.

8. Free tools

The DOPE card builder and any similar calculators or generators are free informational aids provided as-is. They render the data you enter; we do not compute, verify, or correct ballistic values. Their output is not professional, safety, or load-data advice. Confirm your data against your own verified results before relying on it.

9. Intellectual property and copyright (DMCA)

Respect others' intellectual property. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice to Copyright Compliance, ConfirmDOPE LLC at confirmdope.com@gmail.com. A valid notice must include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (2) identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it on the Site (a URL); (3) your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf; and (6) your physical or electronic signature. We respond to valid notices by removing or disabling access to the material, and we notify the user who posted it. Users who believe material was removed in error may send a counter-notice with the corresponding statutory elements to the same address. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. Site branding, design, and code are ours; product names and trademarks belong to their owners, used for identification only.

10. Disclaimers

THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. NOTHING ON THE SITE IS LEGAL ADVICE. CONTENT ABOUT FIREARMS, BALLISTICS, OR BUILDS IS INFORMATIONAL — CONSULT MANUFACTURERS AND QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CONFIRMDOPE LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MODERATORS, AND AGENTS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM USER CONTENT OR YOUR USE OF THE SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations; these apply to the fullest extent permitted.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ConfirmDOPE LLC and its members, moderators, and agents from claims, damages, and costs arising out of your content, your dealings with other users, or your violation of these Terms or of law.

13. Governing law and venue

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Site, are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any legal action must be brought in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

14. Miscellaneous

If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stands. These Terms plus the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement. Failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver. You may not assign your account; we may assign these Terms in a sale or reorganization of the Site.
